had to happen sooner or later i guess... max got the pole.... with all of the netherlands now having their hopes up its gonna be super extra sweet when he gets taken out in turn 1

welp hard to overtake here and it doesnt look like there will be rain...so i really hope this doesnt turn in to a snoozefest

hope russel can drag himself into the points

(also motogp needs to get a move on...cutting it awefully close with the rain delay...hope they finish before f1 starts)

My prediction? Max gets a good start and controls the race from the front.

A good result for Russell would be excellent, if he can make up some places at the start he may be in the good position to capitalize on DNFs in front of him.

Some comments I’ve read on reddit suggest that the support races were somewhat processional as well, with F3 being a bit more exciting than F2.

There’s a lot of talk around Grosjean and Gasly being replaced (either soon or for the next season) but Bottas has a lot riding on this race as well since apparently the team wanted to see his performance up to the summer break before looking at future contract details.

Then again, who could replace Bottas? Ocon? Russell? I think one isn’t good enough and the other should spend another season at a decent midfield team. Bottas can sometimes push Hamilton but not nearly as often as Rosberg did.

I forgot about MotoGP but I guess it’s best I didn’t wake up early for it based on what you’re saying.

I love that Turn 1-2-3 section, really wide corners so you can take slightly different lines to get better traction out of corners.

People keep saying it’s difficult to overtake here but I recall seeing some solid races here along with ballsy overtaking moves.

Really poor first lap from Bottas. Nearly locks up into Hamilton twice and now has a messed up front wing.

Max is looking really comfortable out front and we have procession-like gaps from P1 to P5.

Gasly in P9 lol. He does get shit on a lot but fer fucks sake you’re supposed to be racing Ferrari and Mercedes not Alfa Romeo.
